Evelyn Sosa Rojas was born in 1989 in Havana, Cuba. An emerging photographer who specializes in portraits when she is not busy covering events like the Havana Marathon, Sosa lives and works in Havana. A staunch feminist, Sosa wants to show the power of femininity through photos of women in different familiar or intimate settings. in 2016, Sosa was the winner of the prestigious Herman Puig Prize, awarded yearly to the best artist of the Body Photography Salon in Havana.
Uncommon Beauty Gallery is proud to bring Sosa’s work for the first time in the United States. We curated a set of woman’s portraits in limited edition where Sosa captures the very essence of each subject in a simple, sensual and compelling way that is highly representative of Sosa’s amazing talent.
