Uncommon Beauty Gallery Goes International

Busan Logo.jpg

This month, the Uncommon Beauty gallery participated in our first international art fair in Busan, Korea. We were so pleased to show and sell our artist’s work at such a prestigious fair and on a global scale. This is the gallery’s third large scale art fair we have participated in. We have also shown at Aqua Art Miami Beach and the Architectural Digest Design Show in New York. For Art Busan, featured artists included freestyle abstract painter Taher Jaoui,  Korean painting prodigy Joy Kim, anarchist and king-of-the-upcycle sculptor Greg Haberny, and the world renowned KAWS. The fair was an amazing opportunity to meet international collectors and overseas galleries, and it was wonderful to be immersed in Korean culture for the week. We certainly had our fair share of Korean BBQ, traditional bimbibop, and even experienced an authentic karaoke night, a favorite nighttime activity of the locals. Right after Busan, artist Joy Kim flew to Basel Switzerland where he exhibited in a solo booth at Volta Basel with our friends at Space 776.

In other international news, we are so excited to share that our rising star Joy Kim is participating with a solo both at Volta Art Fair, the sister fair of THE Art Basel in Switzerand. Joy is showing with gallery Space 776 and the booth features all new large scale paintings. Congrats Joy on this huge honor and opportunity!
